I could never afford any of the original belts so this came in to save the day! I ended up “aging” mine with a scotch brite cloth and a vinegar/salt water bath, plus some rub n buff to make it more matte (luckily it did not end up a regrettable diy project lol). It would be super cool to offer more color variation or a matte option in the future, but no complaints here! Love this belt buckle.
I've been looking for a 1970s era clasped hands belt for awhile, but all of the authentic vintage ones were hundreds of dollars and didn't even look that great. This belt was not only super reasonable, but also so high quality in person. I haven't gotten it fitted yet, but was able to get it to fit (just barely :P) doubled up and I'm pretty into the snatched look of it. I love this belt and I get loads of compliments on it every time I wear it. Highly recommend.
Can't believe I have a clasped hands belt! Or belt buckles, rather. The belt it comes with is 37" long so unless that's your waist measurement it's going to need alteration with a sewing machine-- ultimately a fair way to cheaply make this belt fit a range of sizes.
Another detail to note is that both hands are the same mold (two left hands if my memory serves) but again not a deal breaker, just a smart way to cut corners and get a sturdy, high quality reproduction out to the public. It's shiny and heavy and BEAUTIFUL.
If I lose mine I'm buying another one immediately.
Beautifully made and we'll constructed. No complaints whatsoever on that front. However, I am a plus size lady, and this was quite a bit larger around than I am by at least 4 inches without stretching.
